On Sunday, August 25th, Fr. Vincent Kumar, OSFS, was installed as the 12th Pastor of St. Anthony of Padua Parish-Wilmington, DE. Oblate Fathers Bob Bazzoli, Joe Chorpenning, Frank Danella, Ed Fitzgerald, Pat Kifolo, Mathias Kumar, Sandy Pocetto all joined the celebration! Fr. Bazzoli was the homilist and Roger DiBuo, VF, Dean of the City of Wilmington, Delaware represented the Diocese.
St. Anthony’s Parish was founded in 1924 and is the first parish the Oblates administered to since coming to the US in 1893! Fr. Francis Tucker, OSFS, oversaw the church’s fundraising and construction and Oblates have been administering there ever since! We are excited for Fr. Vincent as he begins his ministry and continues the Oblates’ presence at the parish!
Parish Office Hours
Our parish office is open to the public for in-person business. Hours are 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday through Friday, and 5:30 PM to 8:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, as well as 9:30AM-12:30PM on Sundays. For anyone planning a trip to the office, wearing a mask/face covering is optional. If you do not feel well on the day of your visit, we ask you to re-plan your visit for another time.

The Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality
The Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality is a faith-based women’s organization that honors the Blessed Mother and leads initiatives to support the St. Anthony of Padua Parish. Sodality Communion Sunday is held every third Sunday of the month from September through May (except December). The office of the Blessed Mother is recited at 8:40 a.m. followed by 9:00 a.m. Mass. Monthly Meetings are held in the Ballad Room promptly after Mass. All women 14 years of age and over are welcome to attend.
