Il Mercato
The Italian Festival’s marketplace of artisanal Italian decorative and home goods, as well as authentic Italian food is located in the La Piazza area adjacent to the church. Don’t miss the one-of-a-kind offerings!
Cultural Activities Tent
A number of activities will be held at the Cultural Activities Tent adjacent to Il Mercato. These include:

- 2024 Home Winemakers Competition: The Home Winemakers Competition returns on Sunday, 6/9. Registration/bottle drop off from 1-2:3oPM, with competition beginning at 3PM, at the tent adjacent to the Il Mercato. Featuring categories for white wine, red wine, and cordials, all are welcome to participate.

- Sister Cities of Wilmington, DE: Visit with representatives of Sister Cities of Wilmington to learn more about Wilmington’s Italian Sister City Olevano Sul Tusciano, with 2024 marking 20 years of this treasured relationship! (Tuesday, 6/11, and Friday, 6/14)

- Filitalia: We are pleased to welcome Filitalia, of Philadelphia, PA, celebrating Italian roots and American dreams, Filitalia International is a non-profit organization, founded in 1987, to promote and preserve the Italian heritage, language, and customs throughout the world. The goal of Filitalia International is to solidify and expand the Italian culture, tradition, and heritage through social and humanitarian events (Saturday, 6/15)

- Mattinata Musicale (radio programs) & The Italian-American Herald: Learn more about the region’s Italian-American media outlets, dedicated to celebrating and informing the region of the richness of Italian-American culture in the Delaware Valley and beyond! (Sunday, 6/16)

Brandywine Center for Dance presents…..”Dance Tribute to our Favorite Italian Artists” ….Italian music moves the soul! Sunday, 6/16 @ 4:00 pm on the Caffe Antonian stage. We are pleased to welcome the Center back to join us again this year!
St. Anthony’s Feast Day Mass & Festa Patronale Procession
On Sunday, 6/16, at 12:30PM. join us for traditional Mass honoring out patron saint, St. Anthony of Padua, as well as the Festa Patronale, the procession of the saints, at 2:00PM. The procession brings together families and Italian cultural societies with a devotion to particular saints from various regions of Italy. Be sure to experience this treasured traditional expression of the participants’ Catholic faith and cultural pride.
Procession Route:
Statues/floats are assembled on N. Scott St. between W. 9th and W. 10th St./along W. 9th St. between N. Scott St. and N. DuPont St./up to church
